Ways you can feel better

EMDR therapy
If you're looking for a way to heal from trauma, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a well-established therapy that could help.
It involves focusing briefly on difficult memories while doing something like following eye movements or bilateral
stimulation. This process can make those memories feel less intense and less upsetting.
EMDR is a therapy with a lot of research behind it, proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD but it's also a helpful treatment for disorders such as anxiety, depression, OCD, chronic pain, addictions, and other distressing life experiences.
Benefits
-
Specifically designed to address and resolve traumatic memories
-
Facilitates the brain's natural ability to heal itself from distressing experiences
-
There's less need to describe the actual traumatic events
-
Potentially fewer sessions needed to notice positive changes
Hypnotherapy
When people hear the word hypnosis, they often imagine a swinging pocket watch, or a magician making people cluck like a chicken. In therapy though, hypnosis is basically a type of guided meditation to help you calm your mind and relax your body, which helps reduce stress, anxiety and improves your sleep.
Hypnotherapy is the combination of hypnosis and psychotherapy, and the psychotherapy with the most scientific evidence is CBT.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), simply put, is the connection between our thoughts, feelings and actions.
It can help you understand the way you view yourself and the world around you and develop more helpful and realistic ways of seeing things.
Benefits
-
Can alleviate a wide range of difficulties, from anxiety and depression to insomnia and chronic pain
-
It's possible to learn self-hypnosis techniques for ongoing self-management
-
Creates a state of deep relaxation and heightened concentration, which is beneficial for overall well-being
-
Can support efforts to change unhelpful behaviours, and improve sleep patterns

Testimonials

INMA ORTIZ,
I've tried guided meditations on apps and so on, but was a bit skeptical of hypnosis in the beginning. I had a conversation with Dolores and she recorded a session based on the topics and fears that came up. I listened to it over the next couple of weeks and found my adverse reaction to driving started to go away and it didn't bother me as much to get in a car.
